Job Description
The Benefits Analyst plays a key role in the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave programs. This position ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations while supporting the company's strategic HR goals.

- You can administer day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FMLA, etc.)
- You can assist employees with benefits-related questions and concerns; serve as a liaison with vendors and third-party administrators
- You can maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely and accurate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations
- You can support benefits open enrollment processes, including communication, planning, and execution
- You can conduct benefits audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- You can prepare reports and analysis on benefits utilization, cost trends, and employee participation.
- You can assist in the development of employee communications and educational materials related to benefits.
- You can stay current with federal, state, and local regulations affecting employee benefits, such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- You can support wellness and engagement initiatives aligned with the company culture and goals.
- You can plan the Annual Benefits Fair for Newport Beach and San Antonio in conjunction with the Annual Enrollment period using resources of the Tower Semiconductor benefits consultant.
- You can manage ACA requirements in the TPA’s system to meet IRS requirements for data submissions and employee mailings.
- You can audit and analyze enrollments to confirm accuracy of self-bill premium payments and employee benefit co-pays. Work with payroll to maintain accuracy of payroll deductions.
- You can assist union employees in initiating Define Benefit Pension Plan annuity payments.
- You can calculate, audit and communicate funding details to the IBEW District 9 Defined Contribution Plan monthly.
- You can function as a back-up to the Benefits Administrator role by submitting workers compensation claims to insurer as needed.
- You can support claim adjuster requests as needed.
- You can respond to subpoenas.
- You can work with Safety on building a culture of safety and joint accountability.
- You can function as a back-up the Benefits Administrator by updating relevant systems with leave of absence activity.
- You can manage compliance requirements for SPD mailings for 401K Plans, a Union Employee Defined Benefit Pension Plan and the Health & Welfare Plan.
- You can guide/counsel employees on how to use Tower Semiconductor third party administrators to select/change benefits or request a leave of absence.
- You can engage managers and or HR Business Partners for assistance with leave of absence issues/problems.
- You can support the benefits department in budget maintenance which includes establishing Purchase Requisitions/Orders and analyzing invoices for payment in SAP.
- You can support HR Leadership in the evaluation and development of benefits strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in benefits administration or HR analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, UKG) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- CEBS or related HR/benefits certification.
- Experience with Union and Non-Union benefit structures.
Compensation
$95,000 - $105,000
